Fonzarellis Report post Posted April 16, 2015 Never did like the cheap plastic sheath that came with my Mora so I decided it was time to come up with something a little more traditional. Dat's mo bedder gooder!
Avion Report post Posted April 16, 2015 Very slick sheath, job well done. Like you, I think the mora sheath is pretty cheesy and I have been wanting to try my hand for a leather sheath for my mora. I have been busy making wallets for folks that I have not found the time. Hopefully, I can make one as pretty as yours....btw, have you used a dangler in the past? That's what I am planning, but have never owned one.

Wicked Welts Report post Posted April 16, 2015 Dat's mo bedder gooder! Fo sho! I'm also curious about the dangler option, how do you like it? I've yet to try one with a shorter blade profile, I usually go-dangle for longer sheaths that scream for the pivot action.....you got me rethinking it again..... I like the dangler because it puts the knife a little lower and somewhat easier to draw. It will swivel out of the way when you squat down if need be. The dangler is attached to the d-ring with a screw post so it can be worn without the dangler and just use the belt loop on the sheath itself. Thanks for all the kind words. Got another one in the works for my Tracker clone. Edited April 18, 2015 by Fonzarellis
LoneWolf1973 Report post Posted May 2, 2015 I decided at trying my hand at a sheath like that. I basically did the same design because I like the looks of the setup. Now, this was a first attempt and it don't look as good as yours but it will work for now.
Gecko Report post Posted May 4, 2015 Both sheathes look great! For the people curious about a dangler, I used a carabiner to attach the sheath to a belt loop as a way of trying it out and actually still use it that way.
TRHLeather Report post Posted May 4, 2015 That's a really nice sheath. I have yet to try my hand at a sheath but it's coming in the future.
