Holsters look nice. What is the purpose of the slit in the holster that shows the bottom of the cylinder?

the cylinder stops there so it is a stop the old style had the same

Thanks for the explanation. I have made many holsters and looked at even more but this is the first time I have ever seen a cylinder slot!

I'm assuming that "extra" belt slot is to vary the cant. How well does that work?

It seems to me that it might put a "torque" on the belt with neither of them quite on kilter.

depends on the belt our 1-3/4 double stitch or even 1-1/2 bull hide belts work great never had any issues
