Scary Leatherworks Report post Posted November 21, 2008 David, just wondering if you use the Leather Balm with Atom Wax as your last and final finish/sealer or if you apply something else for waterproofing, such as Pecards. Johanna Report post Posted November 22, 2008 I had one of David's seats in the back of our old Honda during a torrential downpour near Pensacola, Florida, on our way to the 2007 IFoLG show in Ft. Worth. Everything in the back of the car was soaked- I'm talking wringing wet. When the rain stopped, I looked at the wet seat with horror, "Oh, no! What have we done?" Put the seat in the drier part of the car. Got to Texas, submitted the seat, and it took a blue ribbon. You couldn't tell that it had taken a bath in the Panhandle. I use Leather Balm with Atom Wax on my tan seats.... Neat Lac for the black ones just to prevent crocking.... rubbing off of the black dye. Scott I've noticed that after a while, the atom wax tends to turn to a white powder, I tell customers to clean it good with saddle soap and a tooth brush (for the tooling and lacing.) Then apply neutral kiwi shoe polish.....It is the easiest thing for the average biker to find and will work well on any leather. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
