Members Calait Posted May 21, 2015 Members Report Posted May 21, 2015 Tandy has dropped blockout in the past few years. Though some of the instructors teaching at Tandy still have some of the formula. Any ideas where I can get some?? Thanks in advance. Quote
Members TomG Posted May 21, 2015 Members Report Posted May 21, 2015 Use full strength Resolene. 2 or 3 coats. Works great for most color dyes. Quote

Members Calait Posted May 21, 2015 Author Members Report Posted May 21, 2015 Mustangman2, only wish I knew more about the product, I do know it works great with some processes in leather work, in some very small amounts. Quote
Members TomG Posted May 21, 2015 Members Report Posted May 21, 2015 Mustangman. It's also called resist. Used to block dye from penetrating the leather. It works in varying degrees depending on the color, how the dye is applied, how many coats of blockout, what blockout you use, etc. People have used Super Sheen, Satin Sheen, Resolene (favorite), liquid latex and lord knows what else.
