My brother is an avid fly fisherman and somewhat of a minimalist. So, I decided to make him a small fly fishing kit that would fit in his shirt pocket since he usually doesn't carry much (if any) gear with him. I got the idea from the Art of Making Leather Cases (vol. 1) but sort of put my own spin on it and reduced the size down. The case itself is made from 7 oz. veg-tanned leather that I dyed with Eco-flo all-in-one in Acorn Brown. The inside is lined with pig-skin suede in a rust color. The design on the outside is a craft-aid and the letters used for his name are 1/4" stamps. There are two small cleats on the inside that are used to wrap leaders. There is a small pocket that holds a nifty little fly fishermans tool and there is a small strip of foam that holds a couple of flies. Overall, it's a neat little package and I hope he likes it. Take a look.

Very neat and yes, minimalistic too.

I'm sure he'll appreciate it. Just the kinda thing I'd like for myself.
