snubbyfan Report post Posted November 7, 2015 Fiebings USMC black. Let that dry a couple of days. Buff off the excess then give it a thin coat of Neatsfoot oil. Give that a day to sit and soak in, buff it then apply some Tan-Kote and wipe off the excess. After that dries for a little while, give it a good buffing. stu925 Report post Posted November 8, 2015 I was not at all pleased with the USMC black when I tried it. As I recall I was using twice as much dye using that stuff to get the coverage I get using the Pro oil dye. I go through a lot of black dye compared to everything else I use so I went back to the black Pro Oil dye. Glad you had better luck with it. snubbyfan Report post Posted November 9, 2015 That's interesting. My experience was quite the opposite. I use Fiebings professional oil dye for every other color except black.
