Members glockanator Posted November 13, 2015 Members Report Posted November 13, 2015 Not really sure where to put this. I have to young kids a 2 year old and a 5 year old. They have both started wanting to sit on my lap and help with "holsters" (they think everything I make is a holster). Anyway this got me thinking. Other thank key chains is there any other projects that I could do with my kids? Any ideas or suggestions would be awesome. Thanks Quote

Boriqua Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 There are always the leather bracelets as well. I remember loving to do those as a kid and if you can incorporate braiding into them even better. The 5 yr old would be a perfect age for the flat braids and different edge braids ... I dont remember what 3 is like anymore now that my daughter is grown. Not much in the way of construction but lots of opportunity for decoration. Quote
Jaymack Posted November 13, 2015 Report Posted November 13, 2015 I got my kids Moccasin kits from Tandy for Christmas when they were younger. They had fun putting them together and they wore them like slippers in the winter months. Quote
Members MonicaJacobson Posted November 14, 2015 Members Report Posted November 14, 2015 (edited) I cut out belts for my kids and let them tool whatever they wanted on them. The 8 year old did an edge pattern, and the 6 year old and 5 year old wanted stars, go figure. They wear them all the time and the messy tooling isn't a problem for little kids.
