Wow, they both look great! What color is the dye or stain?

Nice and clean as always! Very crisp and precise basketweave!

How do you treat the backside of your belts? Every sealing that I've tried tends to cracking. I also tried leaving the backside natural...and ruined a belt sweating profusely in tropical climate

Thanks LederRudi. I use Gun Tragacanth on the backs of my belts and then rub with a rounded piece of Plexiglas until they are smooth. Then I put a couple of coats of finish on them, usually Tan-kote. I am sure the tropical climate would be different than here and what I do might not work there.

Great looking rig as always, I love the color you get in your dye jobs.

Beautiful work as usual Rohn. I find myself drawn to that style of holster more and more, may have to make one for a Model 10 I picked up last month. First I need to find some time to work on my own projects. There's worse problems to have I suppose than not having time for your own stuff.

Thanks Stu. Sometimes you just have to set aside some time for you own stuff.

So you dyed it first then antiqued it?

I you did, I had not thought of that and will try for a belt I'm making.

BTW, good work, looks great!

Retiredff,

I dyed it, then put on a coat of Tan-kote, the antique dye goes on next, then finish it with two more coats of Tan-kote.

I'll try that, Thanks Rohn.
