stu925 Report post Posted December 30, 2015 I bought this Buck 119 off ebay for under $25 but the sheath looked like it had been run over by a truck. I kicked it around for a couple of days and decided I liked the idea of a bushcraft style sheath for this one. I wanted a one piece design but didn't want the flesh side of the leather showing so I skived down a piece of leather to cover the belt loop and laminated it on. After some time stitching and burnishing this what I came up with. I couldn't be happier with it. You guys tell me what you think. Stu

Wild Bill46 Report post Posted December 31, 2015 Fine looking craftsmanship ! I had a 118 that I just completed and gave to the customer, more wild than yours, but its on a bushcraft, frontier theme. ------- Wild Bill46
snubbyfan Report post Posted January 1, 2016 In think it's a very nice sheath. Nice edges.
stu925 Report post Posted January 1, 2016 Thanks everyone for the comments. Actually snubbyfan, I owe you a thank you for your advice on the edges. I followed your edge burnishing method and those are my results. I actually added an extra step and hit it with some resolene after it was all done, I'm hoping it protects the edge a bit. chapelstone Report post Posted January 28, 2016 What color dye did you use?
stu925 Report post Posted January 28, 2016 The dye is Fiebing's Dark Brown, I usually use their professional oil dyes but their regular leather dye was all I could get my hands on at the time so that's what I bought. Stu
