My First Real Project - Leather Moleskine Notebook Cover

Recommended Posts

So I'm using the leodis leather plans and patterns for the most part, but i put a little twist of my own on the strap. This is the first project I've made, and I'm extremely thrilled with how it came out. It's flawed, imperfect, and has lots of errors, but I had a blast doing it, and I learned a ton in the process. I'll do things a lot differently next time - I guess that's how thos goes, ehh? I'd love to hear feedback, good, bad, and indifferent.

Looks pretty good for a first project. Keep practicing and each one will get better and better.

I prefer rounded corners on the Field Notes covers I make, but that's just a design choice...I'm sure plenty of people like square corners too...I'm just not a fan of them...

What kind of leather is that? Can't see the edges to see if they're finished or not...
