Dave Richardson Report post Posted January 31, 2016 I spent a few years looking for an H&R sportsman 22 pistol I finally found one last summer. A few months ago I ran across the book how to make a holster by Al Stohlman and in it was the pattern for the H&R Sportsman so I had to try it. I made this one out of 8 ounce drum died latigo.I wasn't crazy about the flowers in the design but I used them anyway , next time I will use something different. I thought the pattern was too small but after completing it the pistol fit perfect. Thanks for looking and comments are always appreciated.
Dwight Report post Posted January 31, 2016 Good job, Dave, . . . I wonder if that was the old .22 revolver I traded off a long time ago, . . . looks enough like it to be a twin, . . . and I'm just down the road from you by 40 miles. Anyway, . . . I like it, . . . your carving and stamping will always look better if the holster is brown or tan would be my comment on the decoration. May God bless, Dwight
