MichaelT Report post Posted February 3, 2016 Forgive me if you've already tried this- but what about neatsfoot oil?
Widget Report post Posted February 4, 2016 I used a very generous amount of carnauba wax on some really stiff horse hide one time to loosen it up some. It wasn't a huge difference but it did help...?
wlg190861 Report post Posted February 6, 2016 Thank you all. I've tried everything an I guess its just the leather. Its lightweight 5/6 but tough. I guess it has its place but checkbook covers is not one of-em.
Halitech Report post Posted February 6, 2016 I think I've got some of the same stuff and I agree, it's pretty stiff stuff. I made a wallet out a piece and even after 6-8 months in my back pocket, it's still pretty stiff. It has softened some but I think it's just the nature of the leather.
