Members tossik Posted March 14, 2016 Members Report Posted March 14, 2016 I recently got myself two puppies, a German Shepherd and a Corgi, and so I made some leads for them (or is it leash?) this weekend. I made two 3/4 leads (one for my dads puppy) and one 3/8 lead for smaller puppy. Also decided to make a city short lead as well. All made from Hermann Oak Veg tanned leather, double lined (one is 9/10 and other is 4/5oz), and small one is two 4/5oz straps all double stitched and hand riveted. Hardware is solid brass. All the long leads are just shy of 6' long and city on is around 18" or so. Handle area is Merino wool lined lambskin. Makes it very nice and padded, feels great in the hand Finished the leather with neatsfoot, and wax/sealer/oil and essence oils mixture i concocted for my outdoor use products. Overall I am happy with my first set of leads/leashes. Now need to make matching collars for them. Hope you guys like! (sorry, I got excited with the photos) Quote
