gigi Report post Posted April 4, 2016 (edited) Hi everyone! I do leathercraft as a hobby and I work mostly with veg tan leather. I find this forum very useful, I thank all of you posting answers here and sharing your knowledge and thoughts! I recently acquired my first walking foot leather sewing machine (a Dürkopp 239-525) in used but good condition. It has an AC clutch motor and we've set it up to run through a Yaskawa frequency converter (well...my husband did). It came with only one feet - left toe outer foot and I was wondering what other accessories I might need (different feet and guides...). What accessories do you guys find the most helpful for walking foot leather sewing machines? What do you use the most? In what circumstances? Thanks a lot! Constabulary Report post Posted April 5, 2016 (edited) This is the drop down edge guide from College Sewing I told you about. It comes with a replaceable straight edge guide and roller guide tip. But you have to drill holes and tap threads. Edited April 5, 2016 by Constabulary

Colt W Knight Report post Posted April 5, 2016 What is the use of the straight guide over the roller guide?
Constabulary Report post Posted April 5, 2016 straight is more for long seams and the roller for rounded items like sewing curves and the like.
