Daft hats - the Christmas turkey

Recommended Posts

Badger started it... - Hat envy indeed - I'll have you know I've a perfectly good woolly hat of my own. Ho Ho Ho!

You'd better make the most of this one as I'm going back to my old avatar after the holiday.

Whose got the best Christmas hat avatar - any takers?

BTW: Do you guys in the US eat turkey at Christmas as well as Thanksgiving?

Beaverslayer has the best hat. Period. And no, don't ask him to take pictures of it, and for Mercy's sake, don't ask him to remove it. The last time he did, the whole forum crashed and we were without LW.net for a few days.

My family eats... LASAGNA, of all things. And it's always my job to bring a big bottle of Chianti to have with it. (Plus a jug of a nice brown ale from the local micro-brewery for my bro-in-law.)

Are we Italian? No. Polish/German, actually. <shrug> Go figure. I think we started this tradition when my mom (who was of German and Austrian descent) decided to have something, anything, other than turkey after one Thanksgiving when we OD'd on it for two weeks. Lasagna just seemed the right thing for that particular moment, and it became a family tradition that we still carry on today.

I'll hunt around for my Santa hat and post a photo later on...

Kate
