Eddie Q Report post Posted April 29, 2016 Hello All !! This is my second attempt on a holster. Made out of 7-8 oz + 1-1.5 oz pig and hand stiched with wax linen thread. I also made my own pattern and kinda went with the carving from "The Hand of God" rig from the 3:10 to Yuma look (or so I think). I've read here that not to many holster makers like to use artificial sinew but, that just after I had ordered six rolls of different colors :/ . Anyways I'm gonna use some on my next holster and see how it looks. Thanks for looking !!
Boriqua Report post Posted May 5, 2016 Very Very Nice! Using the small conchos as flower centers is an outstanding touch!
ruger Report post Posted May 5, 2016 It looks kind of western style for a 1911. I like the covered trigger and a different look for the 1911. It turned out nice for your own pattern. I might try something like that for a Wild Bunch holster. I like the look.
snubbyfan Report post Posted May 6, 2016 Very nice, I like that wide edge. Now ya need to make a matching belt to go with it and find yourself a barbecue....
Eddie Q Report post Posted May 8, 2016 (edited) Thank You Gentlemen, I'm in the process of making a couple more for my 1911, based on The Johnnie Ringo and Charlie Prince(Flames Of Hell) from the patterns by Mr. Will Ghormley. Of coarse there's no pattern for the 1911, so hope I can come up with one Mr. Snubbyfan, now that its getting warm here in the mountains of New Mexico, I barbeque almost everyday, and show off my lil rig to myself lol !!
