A good friend of mine asked me to make an oakleaf tooled padfolio for her as a gift for someone. I tried to talk her out of it because I do not like tooling flowers and leaves. Flowers and leaves were not what drew me into leatherwork, and sometimes I find them a bit cliche because so many leather projects are cut and paste from old leather working books/patterns. Plus, I am not very good at it. Anyway, she talked me into giving it a try. I had to make my own stamping tools to get the job done.
