Members mud Posted July 11, 2016 Members Report Posted July 11, 2016 (edited) American Flag Bandana Mask 5-6oz leather that I tooled, then soaked in a mixture of 1 gallon hot water from faucet and 1 cup ammonia. I let it sit for 5 minutes, then pat dried wet from surface and let it sit for 15 minutes before I started to form over a life size plastic skull I got on eBay. Once it dried I slicked the edge and used Angelus Acrylic paints. Now I will tape off edge and cover with newspaper then spray back with headliner glue and put 1mm neoprene for the lining and trim. Then rivet straps and ready to roll. Edited July 11, 2016 by mud Quote

There are two adjustable straps, one for the crown of the head and one for around the back of the neck. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted July 12, 2016 Report Posted July 12, 2016 It looks awesome. I'm curious about the length of it riding comfortably though. Keep us posted. Quote

I'll have some better detailed pics when I get it done. Quote
Members mud Posted July 12, 2016 Author Members Report Posted July 12, 2016 Needs a little cleanup. Straps are adjustable for that perfect fit. Quote

Members David8386 Posted July 14, 2016 Members Report Posted July 14, 2016 That looks really sharp with good detail to it. I would have to try it before I rode with it on, (fogging up glasses),but you did a great job on it. Thanks for posting it. David Quote

David Thanks David, I appreciate the compliment...the way I have the padding/lining, your breath will not come up through the eyes. Breathing is easy, all air comes in from below and exits the same way. Quote
Members Jarhead44706 Posted September 22, 2016 Members Report Posted September 22, 2016 Really cool idea. Could you take a pic of the inside possibly? Quote
