save bucks use pucks

Recommended Posts

103_0006.jpg103_0007.jpg Here is a way to save some bucks with two hockey pucks make a leather maul. I used 2 pucks ,one broken hammer handle , one 8 in 5/16 bold and nut and 3 flat washers. and here is what I walked out of the shop with. It works great on belt ends and that type of stuff no shock to your hand feels good. Have to try tooling with it we will see how that work later tonight.

Hockey pucks are a bit rare in Texas. I'm sure it's a great idea in S. Dak., but I must say it sounds a bit odd here.

Russ, that's an awesome idea. Have you thought how you might ad some lead weight to the inside for heavier punch work.

You can wrap that handle in leather, making it more comfortable and easier to hold. Those pucks will never wear out. Fantastic thinking. :)
