save bucks use pucks

Here is a way to save some bucks with two hockey pucks make a leather maul. I used 2 pucks ,one broken hammer handle , one 8 in 5/16 bold and nut and 3 flat washers. and here is what I walked out of the shop with. It works great on belt ends and that type of stuff no shock to your hand feels good. Have to try tooling with it we will see how that work later tonight.

Im not shere I think is hard Rubber but not to bad to drill. wow this thing work great kinda girps the tools and makes nice print. Did some basket and works great.

Russ, that's an awesome idea. Have you thought how you might ad some lead weight to the inside for heavier punch work.

You can wrap that handle in leather, making it more comfortable and easier to hold. Those pucks will never wear out. Fantastic thinking.

the maul I made is about 19 oz and if you want a biger one you and all ways use 3 pucks or you can get a wighted put that is 10 oz the one i used were about 6 oz
