mark66 Report post Posted July 30, 2016 I intend to make my "old man" job in leather, vinyl and canvas repair. Sewing patches on vests. attending outdoor shows and fairs of all kinds. In addition to my Techsew 106 and singer 29k that will stay at home, I'll pack all my hands sewing tools in a chest, load up Boss, Bantam patcher, and 75 year old stitch horse and just try to help people with their broken stuff. If I make $50 a day, I'd be happy. No electricity required for anything.

mikesc Report post Posted July 30, 2016 I used to have a great / grand uncle back in Ireland who toured around the country in a horse drawn wagon ( like a classical gypsy caravan ) doing just those sort of repairs and making things for sale at markets and horse fairs, did some farrier and black smith type work also..met him a few times when I was younger, seemed to be a very happy and contented man.. :)

Darren Brosowski Report post Posted August 7, 2016 Love the colour of the patcher. I usually repaint them black but a dark red colour could be on the way!!
