Bobbin Issue - Juki 1541S

Recommended Posts

Yes its always good as you say to remove the bobbin case, and clean it out.

That bobbin case holder; it has the finger on it. This may need reset from the bottom side with its screw. In some situations a different one can be obtained. One has to remember these holder/finger surfaces require care, and spacing. Some aftermarket special parts may have a bit different /finger. This could be discussed, I'm not familiar with aftermarket or custom

Is there an engineers manual at your location, handy. An ops manual is also a benefit but some items are better illustrated in these others, including a parts book.

Good day

Can anyone be more explicit about what the ultimate fix was? This shouldn't happen to a brand new machine.

See attached, this is a known issue on this model Juki DNU-1541S.

Two ways to fix this; heat the existing hook supporting plate red hot and hit it with a hammer to bend into place.  This part will break and not bend if you hit it without heating it.

Another is to get and modify say a Consew 206RB supporting plate, and use that one instead that can be 'adjusted' by bending it closer to and from the hook.

Thanks, Bob!  I think that things loosened up, in transit, and the T135 thread completely bound up and threw the timing out of whack.
