Ambassador freak Posted January 3, 2009 Ambassador Report Posted January 3, 2009 It's another paintball thing. You have to place one of these over your barrel when you're not in play at the fields. So i figure this too should be made out of leather. So here's two i've made so far. Hard to see but the flames are blue. I used spirit dye for the blue but the black is eco-flo. This one is all eco-flo. Used Scarlet over the whole piece then added the black. Then i used the eco-flo antique black over it. Know we'll really see how the colors hold up to sunlight and abuse. Members BradB Posted January 4, 2009 Members Report Posted January 4, 2009 Those look great Freak!! What did you cover them with after the eco-flo? Quote
Ambassador freak Posted January 4, 2009 Author Ambassador Report Posted January 4, 2009 Thanks everyone. I've got a couple more on the bench rite now WIPs Those look great Freak!! What did you cover them with after the eco-flo? Because i wasn't really worried about the black dye lifting and bleeding over on to the red when adding the sealer in this case . I first used a light coat of super shene. It helped lift alot of the the black antique and blend it. Then i used Leather balm w/atom wax. Quote
Members weaselrunner Posted January 5, 2009 Members Report Posted January 5, 2009 WOW !! Thanks for the idea !!!!!!! I play also and my old barrel condom is about worn out. I'll just have to upsize some, I use a FLATLINE barrel. Quote
