Members carguy4471 Posted December 19, 2016 Members Report Posted December 19, 2016 Finished up holster #2 this weekend. Did a few things differently. This is an avenger holster for an xds with mag carrier. Thanks to JLS for the fantastic pattern. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted December 19, 2016 Report Posted December 19, 2016 Good job. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
Contributing Member JLSleather Posted December 19, 2016 Contributing Member Report Posted December 19, 2016 (edited) That's a bit smoother. Just a tip... you may find it's beneficial NOT to crank that curve into the back "fin" of the avenger. I know them sensitive types like to see it that way, but truth is it conceals far better if you let the belt pull it -- and the pistol grip -- in to the body. If you wear it "at the appendix", maybe don't matter, but the farther back, the bigger the benefit. Edited December 19, 2016 by JLSleather Quote "Observation is 9/10 of the law." Contributing Member JLSleather Posted December 20, 2016 Contributing Member Report Posted December 20, 2016 Oh, yeah.. full-strength resolene is spelled C- A- K- E- Much better to let the leather shine.. not the wax on top of it!
