Members Mpreusse Posted December 26, 2016 Members Report Posted December 26, 2016 Hey everyone, my name is Mike and I recently decided that leather working was a hobby that I wanted to try. I really enjoy it and still have a lot to learn. Here are a few of my first projects. Feel free to critique them if you want. Thanks Here is the inside. Quote

Members cjartist Posted December 26, 2016 Members Report Posted December 26, 2016 Welcome to the forum. Looks like you are off to a GREAT start. I think a second coat of dye would have helped to smooth out the blotching a bit. Keep in mind that you can always thin your dye, but usually more than one coat is required. Quote Check out my Unique Marketing Strategy and see if it might also work for you to get paid for your art.

I wanted to do a second coat but everyone that saw it just loved the"worn/antique" look. Haha, little did they know it was just poor dye application. Quote
bikermutt07 Posted December 26, 2016 Report Posted December 26, 2016 Cool and rugged looking. Nothing wrong with that. Welcome and keep having fun. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
