mixmkr Report post Posted January 24, 2017 Inspired by the other thread...I forgot needing the sewing machine side (male) hinge for my Singer 107W1. Here's the table side. The Singer head has two threaded holes for the male part of the hinge.
Gregg From Keystone Sewing Report post Posted January 24, 2017 (edited) Ahhh, that's not going to work; the 107W uses the same hook with two set screws as in the other image on the other thread, the table hinge is for a different style machine, table could have been cutout for a Singer 95 or something. Singer 107W does not have a spot to put this table hinge hook in, see attached. Edited January 24, 2017 by Gregg From Keystone Sewing
mixmkr Report post Posted January 24, 2017 Yeah it's what my Juki 562 uses but the table cutout is smaller than my juki to accommodate my 107W1. Gotta smile as it has a Keystone silver sticker on it! thought there might be cross matching pieces
Gregg From Keystone Sewing Report post Posted January 25, 2017 Exactly, most LU-562 machines would use this table hinge hook and table hinge plate (12361 & 44139) when new at that time on a green or tan table top.
mixmkr Report post Posted January 25, 2017 (edited) so....wondering what machine was originally on this table that my 107W1 uses, since the cutout is much too small for a JUKI 562 sized machine. It's not that I really tilt the Singer back that much (Infact I only use the machine about 10% of my time because it's zig zag only), but thought while somebody was digging for a source for the hinges on the other thread, I could get a complete set as well.... But as you say, those style won't work on the Singer. I'll just use my block and tackle system hooked up to the ceiling !!!! Seriously, the machine is really not that heavy and still tilts OK without hinges...but maybe not as secure. It's kinda like a "baby" industrial ;-) Edited January 25, 2017 by mixmkr

CowboyBob Report post Posted January 26, 2017 I've never done this on the 107 BUT you could drill a hole in it to use the #12361 hinge pins,I'm pretty sure there's enough thickness there to allow for a hole,it would easier than modifying the table(which I've done before & it doesn't look pretty)
