Dunluce Report post Posted January 26, 2017 I am looking at buying some pigskin to make some wallets, card holders etc. You can buy it dry finished or tallow waxed. Tugadude Report post Posted January 26, 2017 Guessing you are looking at Metropolitan. Their listing says the pigskin is partially vegetable tanned. I would assume it will burnish up well. There were two comments on the product(s) and one person says it burnishes well. Doubt the finishing will make a huge difference and they both start out with the same tanning process. I have had mixed results with combination tanned leather, some burnishes pretty decent and others can be as bad as straight chrome tanned.
