IngleGunLeather Report post Posted March 18, 2017 Been a while since I've posted here. I just finished this holster for my own personal EDC. It's made from 7/8 ounce Hermann Oak, dyed with Fiebing's Pro Chocolate dye and accented with embossed tan ostrich. The pattern is from JLS.
Mattsbagger Report post Posted March 18, 2017 Looks good. Interesting combo. But it works. Would have not thought of that.
Clintock Report post Posted March 19, 2017 Looks good! I really like the difference between the two colors. Waiting on leather to arrive so I can start on the same pattern. Was thinking of changing the reinforcement just a little so it covers more of the trigger guard area.

It's really more of anew accent panel than reinforcement panel IMO. If you cover the trigger guard it will be harder to get good boning to hold the gun won't it? Sceaden Report post Posted March 19, 2017 Beautiful work! That reminds me, I need to make a holster set for my M&P Compact.
Clintock Report post Posted March 19, 2017 New to this hobby so my opinions may not be worth a crap. Was thinking since that pattern is a 50/50?? Meaning not a flat back I could bone more in the back and just use fingers in the front. That way it wouldn't deform any tooling on the front panel. If it won't won't work that way please don't hesitate to tell me. Would hate to be in a store and my pistol fall out trying to get that item on the bottom shelf.
