Members Richard M Posted March 29, 2017 Members Report Posted March 29, 2017 This may not be the right place for this post this but looking for thoughts on this aviator cap from this pattern http://leatherworker.net/forum/topic/37843-aviator-helmet-pattern-leather/#comment-234196. It is just a mock up at the moment and needs some resizing to actually fit a head! and would need a little wet moulding on the seams to round them out. Is it looking about right I have spent so long looking at it I cant decide Quote Etsy Shop https://www.pangvalleyleather.co.uk/
Rockoboy Posted April 11, 2017 Report Posted April 11, 2017 From a total novice (at leatherwork and assessing the item you are trying to copy) at 1st glance it looks pretty good to me. My only thought would be the corner where the side meets the top ... is that a little to square? Maybe a little rounding by wet moulding on the top section might soften the angle a little?
