Clintock Report post Posted April 10, 2017 Let me know what y'all professionals think. Will this work since there's only one stitch line between mag and pistol or should I have created a space between the two and put another stitch line there? Initially was gonna add about 3/4" space between the two but mighta "overthunk" it.
Sanch Report post Posted April 10, 2017 (edited) my 2 cents it looks nice and tidy to me if the retention is good on the frame and not too much on the mag I think you're golden nice work show a pic of the back and toe Edited April 10, 2017 by Sanch

Both mags loaded (empty barrel) the gun nor mag will not fall out when upside and shook rather vigorously. I should've took a back pic but it's found its new home already. The back has "divots" from using a foodsaver to do the vacuuming. He likes it. Says it'll grip better. Idk about that but... Wish I could find some rolls for the foodsaver that doesn't have the divots. Edited April 10, 2017 by Clintock
MikeG Report post Posted April 10, 2017 Concerning "divots" in the bags. I have some Black and Decker bags that are smooth. If you can't find a smooth bag, insert something else in between the bag and the leather. Just about anything that will stretch and not leave fold lines works. A piece of thin foam, thin scrap leather, etc. Nice looking work! The lines flow very cleanly the way you have it. My only concern would be in a quick grab, if you pulled forward on the gun, could the rear sight snag the mag? In the position shown, it looks like it will be OK, but I would probably either move the mag down or forward just a skeench. Thanks for posting! Clintock Report post Posted April 10, 2017 @MikeG thanks! I wore the holster and drew the gun a few times. No problem. I was afraid the front sight would wanna grab the mag but due to natural muscle control, when drawing the weapon, the barrel end and front sight tends to roll back as the hand starts forward so it clears with plenty of distance. If that makes sense. The original design is by Jeff. Just had to add the mag pouch in there. Does Walmart sell the black and decker bags? I really don't like the rough sided foodsaver brand. JLSleather Report post Posted April 10, 2017 What -- no laser ?!@#! That looks like it should work, but a second stitch line MAY or MAY NOT be an improvement depending on where it bends. I never cared for that type of thing myself.. could never figure out how to pull the mag and the gun with the same hand! Nice color!
Clintock Report post Posted April 10, 2017 @JLSleather I asked home the same question! Is exact words "I can always swap hands to pull the mag and one less thing to keep up with". Like to see the speed of his hands. Color is just a medium brown by feibling. Went over it a couple times to darken it up. And nope, no laser. Haha. You seen that too. Clintock Report post Posted April 10, 2017 Here's the back. Wife hasn't dropped it off at my moms yet. It's for her husband.
Sanch Report post Posted April 10, 2017 very nice I think it's a fine design.
alpha2 Report post Posted April 10, 2017 Oh, yeah! I can totally see now that the divots are a feature. Keeps the holster from slipping around on our pants. Now, everyone will want them.
Clintock Report post Posted April 10, 2017 @Sanch appreciate it but credit to Jeff @JLSleather. @alpha2 you might be right! Never know! Wouldn't it be something if the next ppl that call wanting one, asks for one specifically with the "textured" design.
Lizardo Report post Posted April 17, 2017 Well, you could turn it around, no tooling and call it lizard! Seriously, though, real nice job! Don't really see a need for another stitch line.
Clintock Report post Posted April 17, 2017 @Lizardo could be on to something there! Thanks.
Sofaspud Report post Posted April 17, 2017 I like it! I am in agreement with Jeff about the ability to pull the mag with the hand holding my pistol, but I know a couple of guys who like that style. I think your execution was first rate. Good looking rig.
Clintock Report post Posted April 17, 2017 @Sofaspud thank you sir. Might would work better for me if it was an iwb appendix carry. Just so everything would be right there... But... I'm no big fan of a muzzle nowhere in that area.
