I have the opportunity to buy a Juki sewing machine and there is 3 to choose from, need help help which one to buy. I need it to sew different types of leather from 1 oz all the way up to 20 oz. I make a very large variety of products (belts, wallets, holsters, bags, purses and so many more). All 3 have a servo motor and are walking foot. My choices are   juki du 1181, juki dnu 1541. And juki 141.

Thank you in advance for any help

Of the three you listed, only the 1541 has compound feed. The others are dual feed. The 1541 also accepts up to #138 thread, with the others maxing out at B92.

Ok thanks for help. Would you recommend the 1541 for the work I do?.

If it helps thead size in 138 is the maximum you could use. If this is what you require in your products your good to go!

good day there

The 1541 is a great machine. Wallets and belts yes, all day long. Holsters, maybe, I don't have any experience with holsters but some may not fit a flatbed so well. I do bags on a 1508 which is very similar and I can tell you that a post bed or cylinder arm can be somewhat more handy for the odd shapes that you can run into. Purses same as bags, it depends on the design but a more specialized machine may be called for.

If you get the 1541, it can make you the money you will need for more machines and you will need more machines. One is never enough. :)
