I am looking for a printable strap end template for belts and other straps I am hoping someone here in the hive mind can lead me in the right direction and no I do not want to purchase any laser-cut fancy gizmos I'm just looking for something that I can print as I have the material and the ability to cut the template out myself I just need a proper template thanks for any input

I think I have a fancy laser cut one I could give measurements off of. Would that help?

Then you can make one of your fancy CNC milled templates. Haha

Try these. Drawn 1:1 scale.

Print in standard letter size paper. Un-click stuff like "print to fit", etc. so the scale is not changed.

For a buckle that is 1" long from the heal bar to the end of the buckle, I would add 8-1/2" to the belt size needed to land in the middle hole.

Rivet/snap hole spacing will accommodate a 1/2" wide keeper. Note the snap holes are a little wider to accommodate a line 24 snap.

That's way better than my suggestion. Thanks for sharing.

No problem. I have an engineering background and a free CAD system on my computer, to draw them with. Then I test and tweak to finalize to heavy poster/map board. That also means I can change the shape of the strap end or scale to a different size really easily.

To make the final template I use Elmers spray craft glue, from Walmart or similar, spray the poster board and the back of the printed template. Let them get tacky and then stick the paper to the board and cut the final template.

Thank you most graciously I was looking for the more rounded or spear taper shape for lack of better explanation.

Lol yea I could have my buddy cnc them out of 304 SS sure but why if I can print them and cut them out of wallymart cutting mat for 4 bucks. Oh and for the record I have access to lathes and mills I don't own any! I am familiar with the Bridgeport mill and the Hardinge lathe never claimed to be a machinist! G code and the like is still foreign to me.

That was a poor attempt at me trying to be funny. I knew you made a lot of cool things yourself.

Have downloaded these as well, many thanks.   Such things are always useful to have.

As to g codes, and cad drawing...    It's a new world I'm just starting to work my way around, but what fun I'm having learning it all.
