JerseyFirefighter Report post Posted July 13, 2017 (edited) I was tasked with making a friend a working lead for a K9. They had shown up and specifically asked for this exact type of clasp. I suspect it was locking once upon a time, but no longer does so. A source for any hardware finish...brass, stainless steel etc would be greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance. matthewb137 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 Little late, but would a panic snap work? It's not exactly that one but it's the same concept more or less. https://www.strapworks.com/Metal_Panic_Snaps_p/mps.htm

I actually found the clasp deep in the bowels of weaver's site. My great search actually got me to find some rather unique quick release systems for dog leashes. cowboycolonel Report post Posted August 26, 2017 They're called "French clips" and weaver has them.
matthewb137 Report post Posted August 26, 2017 (edited) I'll have to see if I can find them myself now. Like a form of challenge. Did you get started on the leash yet? Edited August 26, 2017 by matthewb137
bruce johnson Report post Posted August 27, 2017 Walsall Hardware carries them to and can be a lot easier to order from than Weavers. Not yet. My current order queue has me swamped. Even though I can probably get one done in about 15-20 mins I feel like im cheating on my customers.
