Rolandranch Report post Posted August 13, 2017 Hey, guys! A friend of mine made a knife and asked me to make a sheath for it. The knife itself isn't that great mainly because it wasn't tempered but I probably couldn't do any better with a chunk of metal. I built the sheath for utility, not so much for looks because I know this guy is gonna use it and beat it up a lot. As non-fancy as it is, it will probably outlast the knife. Let me know what you think! Thanks for looking! -Ryan
x101airborne Report post Posted August 13, 2017 Simple, elegant and rides high. I like it! Could we see the knife as well?

I tried to not "outshine" the knife but the guys at Tandy said I failed in that respect. lol!
ByNelson Report post Posted August 13, 2017 How come you didn't do the edges? Nice little project to practice on... I like the look of it, reminds me of my scout knife when I was little
alpha2 Report post Posted August 13, 2017 Reminds me of the sheaths I've been doing lately. Kind of like a bum in a tuxedo. But like you said, it's what they wanted! I like the double stitching, that alone outshone the knife...

I could have burnished and polished the edges but the time and effort would not have been worth it because it was supposed to be "on the rugged side" so I only put black Edge Kote on it. 8 hours ago, alpha2 said: Reminds me of the sheaths I've been doing lately.
