Juttle Report post Posted August 15, 2017 I used to have a pair of those when I worked my hounds, nowhere near as good or as well made as yours though! Great job, brings back some memories that!
kiwican Report post Posted August 15, 2017 I've never seen one of these before. How does it work?
x101airborne Report post Posted August 16, 2017 From what I have seen, and mind you... I have never had one in my hands, the collar ring goes in the brass slit with the pull pin. The pull pin only holds the ring in place. When the hounds strike, the handler can either hold the hounds or pull the center cord to release the hounds. This is only my understanding but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express this weekend. LOL!
the gafer Report post Posted August 19, 2017 Thanks guys this is how it works put the collar round the dogs neck there is a pin that holds it in place and a cord running the length of the lead that attached to another bit of leather that goes round your wrist you hold the handle and soon as you see what you are hunting just let go of the handle it pulls the pin out to release the collar then the dog is running
