Members Macan Posted October 1, 2017 Members Report Posted October 1, 2017 Hi guys , I got question about saddle soap. I made it with David Morgan recipe-about 1/3 lurd, 1/3 water, 1/3 glycerin soap and some baby soap-mix of those two (I cannot find here ivory soap) I braid bracelets and necklaces and after using sad.soap it looks great but after week or two there is white residue of soap(in cravices) which doesnt looks good. Any ideas please? Quote
Northmount Posted October 1, 2017 Report Posted October 1, 2017 If you warm it up, does the white residue work back in? It would likely be the fat. Need to warm it up and buff the extra back off. Maybe 2 or 3 times. Tom Quote

Members oltoot Posted October 7, 2017 Members Report Posted October 7, 2017 I had to cut down on the lard to cure that ill, also melting the lard at pretty high temps seemed to help Quote
