SteveHolt Report post Posted October 19, 2017 (edited) Greetings all! Brand new to leathercraft and the forums too (N00b alert). I was hoping someone could enlighten me or at least point me in the right direction of how this particular pattern/tooling is done. I am just starting out re-leathering Championship Belts (Nerd, I know...)...And I haven't been able to figure out how the tooling is done around the snap-box (far right) of this particular belt and many others like it. Is this a kind of stamp pattern or is it done with a beveler tool, or maybe both? If anyone could shed some light, I'd be very grateful. Thank you so much! Halitech Report post Posted October 19, 2017 I'm no expert on WWE/WWF belts but looks to me like they used a beveller and a background/matting tool to do the interior
McJeep Report post Posted October 21, 2017 Looks similar to what this stamp produces - it comes in different sizes for background filling - I use it a lot and like the texture it giveshttps://www.tandyleather.com/en/product/e294-03-craftool-stamping-tool
SteveHolt Report post Posted October 30, 2017 Halitech and McJeep, thank you for your replies! That background stamp definitely looks like the one used on the belts. I will check it out! Thanks again!
