Members chiefjason Posted October 27, 2017 Members Report Posted October 27, 2017 Nice. I've got a guy wanting one here soon. Just trying to work out the details. Was trying to work out the ammo loops and think I'll go with that style. I've done similar with large revolvers and it works very well since you can glue them on the backside to keep them in place. garypl Posted October 27, 2017 Report Posted October 27, 2017 That looks real nice Chief. I like the way the swivel stud keeps the cover from slipping forward. I have a question about the loops - any worry that after a period of time the loops will stretch a bit and rimless cases might slip through and fall out? I was thinking of making something similar and was trying to decide if I need to use a smaller loop or stop piece underneath the main loops to hold the neck of the cartridge case and prevent the cases from dropping through. Never had them do that, they are quite tight to begin with and relax a little so that they retract easily but don't slip. Takes a little work to get them in and out so they are there. I haven't found a better way. Quote
garypl Posted October 27, 2017 Report Posted October 27, 2017 Thanks - makes sense and if it’s not broke don’t fix it! Quote
