Members Fire88 Posted November 7, 2017 Members Report Posted November 7, 2017 I found a National A-288 and believe it's the the same as a Singer 288. Problem is I can find no info on either machine anywhere. thanks for any info Quote

Members Fire88 Posted November 8, 2017 Author Members Report Posted November 8, 2017 It looks clean and is from an upholstery shop, I'm guessing it has a clutch motor and is set up to run way faster than I need or can control. I'd mainly use it for doing bags or the like probably no more than 10oz at most if I did a bag out of veg tan. I'm not sure where this "hobby" will take me and what I may end up doing later on and realize most have more than one machine. One for bags/wallets n such and one for holsters/tack/collars/saddles. CowboyBob Posted November 8, 2017 Report Posted November 8, 2017 If it runs too fast for you we have a servo that you can replace the clutchmotor with that will slow it down alot & make it much more controllable.Yes alot of people end up with two or more machines. Quote
