Members mggrraanntt Posted November 15, 2017 Members Report Posted November 15, 2017 Hi everyone, So for my projects up to now, I've been applying my Eco Flo waterstain then applying super shene finish and the conditioning with fiebings aussie conditioner. I've found that my projects have still been stiff and wrinkle very easily. I've done a little research on the internet and seen that people have been saying that the leather should be conditioned before the finish is applied (in hindsight, it makes sense). All the posts I have seen, the people seem to be using oils to condition their leather before finishing. My question is, can I use the fiebings aussie conditioner in the same way? Applying it before the finish to make the leather softer and more flexible without wrinkling or cracking. Thanks in advance, Michael. Quote
Members Fire88 Posted November 15, 2017 Members Report Posted November 15, 2017 I'm not sure if the conditioner will impact the finish or not. But I suggest testing the process out on a scrap piece of leather. Quote

Members DV8DUG Posted March 22, 2019 Members Report Posted March 22, 2019 You are sealing it with Super Shene before you condition. Seems like your steps are out of order... Quote
