Mjolnir Posted December 10, 2017 Report Posted December 10, 2017 Honestly, this is how I want to end up. A dead corpse at an October Craft fair. Just kiddin', I want to travel the craft fairs when I retire. Maybe fund my travels? Is this plausible? I've always wondered. and the only thing holding me back is being the guy with the belt booth. bikermutt07 Posted December 10, 2017 Report Posted December 10, 2017 How good is your retirement money looking? It would take a bit of research of the fairs you plan to attend, how many leather vendors are there, booth and travel costs. I'm sure it could be done. You would really want to work well advertised fairs in big population markets. My research has found end of the year fairs bring the most sales. Especially if you have a lot of impulse buy materials. You know , 5-20 dollars. Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.
