jimi Report post Posted December 17, 2017 Hi There, up for sale is a Singer 45k92 heavy duty lock stitch sewing machine. for sale is the head only, in very good condition from the late 60s. the leg was broken on this machine when i bought it and has been repaired with JB Weld and 4 stainless steel threaded rods drilled in the leg to strengthen it. the needle plate is a little chewed but works well and is singer, i did not want to change the original in case someone wanted to weld and repair it. otherwise for 12 quid or so you can get one from College Sewing. the shuttle is Ali and not original because it was too worn and has a corner broken. oil box looks to have a corner repaired and opens and closes no problem. this must have been the last of the 45ks to be made as the S/N dates after the last ones around on the net. any questions just ask.
