Windrider30 Report post Posted January 19, 2018 (edited) Made this a while a go and I don't remember if I shared this with the forum or not. This is all hand done, from stitching to pieces together to the tooling and lacing. Took half a hide of garment leather and 250 feet of suede lace to do it! First time of doing a gouche style lacing on the back and side seams did a Mexican round all the way around. Lot more pics here https://imgur.com/gallery/xJLvz Forgot to mention this was the very first time ever of me trying something like a waistcoat/vest of any kind I like the way it turned out and its warm in the fall Edited January 19, 2018 by Windrider30

Gary Cutting, tooling and stitching took roughly 8 hours the braiding on the other hand took me roughly 5 days to do. So honestly I would say roughly between 50 to 60 hours total The hand stitching was easy the braiding was a pain in the ass but I enjoyed the hell out of it

That's why I will never make a living doing leatherwork!
