bikermutt07 Posted April 5, 2018 Report Posted April 5, 2018 What a bunch of beauties.... Quote I'm not paying 80 bucks for a belt!!! It's a strip of leather. How hard could it be? 4 years and 3 grand later.... I have a belt I can finally live with. Stitching is like gravy, it's only great if you make it every day. From Texas but in Bossier City, Louisiana.

Thanks, John Expand Some of those are drum dyed mahogany skirting from Wickett and Craig. I used Fiebing's dyes and acrylic resoline for some. Quote Ingle Gun leather

Members gigi Posted April 5, 2018 Members Report Posted April 5, 2018 (edited) Very nice work!! Excellent edge finishing, dyeing, stitching and wet-forming. High quality leather. Are you using vacuum forming? Edited April 5, 2018 by gigi Quote Houston, we have a problem
Members OLDNSLOW Posted April 5, 2018 Members Report Posted April 5, 2018 do you skive the leather at all from it's skirting weight to the working weight of the leather? And if so about what is the working weight of the leather while using it. Also what product do you use to clean the leather prior to the final coat finish? thanks for all the info! Quote

Expand All leather is ordered as 7/8, most recently directly from Wickett and Craig. Other than me wet molding it, nothing to clean it. Once dried, finish coat is applied.Well, I do buff before applying finish. Edited April 6, 2018 by IngleGunLeather Update Quote Ingle Gun leather

Contributing Member MedusaOblongata Posted April 6, 2018 Contributing Member Report Posted April 6, 2018 Great looking holsters! How is the bottom closed? Is it one piece of leather folded in half at the muzzle? Quote

The leather, both front and back pieces, are approximately 1/4 inch longer than the muzzle and are slightly folded over. Quote Ingle Gun leather
