do you skive the leather at all from it's skirting weight to the working weight of the leather?  And if so about what is the working weight of the leather while using it.  Also what product do you use to clean the leather prior to the final coat finish?

thanks for all the info!

Outstanding! I really like your sight channel bump out! Classy looking holsters for sure and great attention to detail in the assembly and finish.

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Josh!

Very nice work!! Excellent edge finishing, dyeing, stitching and wet-forming. High quality leather.

Are you using vacuum forming?

Thank you. No vacuum, hand molded.

All leather is ordered as 7/8, most recently directly from Wickett and Craig. Other than me wet molding it, nothing to clean it. Once dried, finish coat is applied.Well, I do buff before applying finish.

Super clean work and look from the molding to the stitching... inspiring actually.

Great looking holsters!

How is the bottom closed? Is it one piece of leather folded in half at the muzzle?

The bottoms aren't fully closed. The leather, both front and back pieces, are approximately 1/4 inch longer than the muzzle and are slightly folded over.
