Un-sheath the toothpick please. I didn't see a welt. did you use one? Also, assuming this is a right hand carry, in my view the handle retaining strap is pointing in the wrong direction. Walking through the woods, pointed forward, it can catch on a branch and unsnap. Pointed back it won't catch.

If it was pointed back in your woods scenario, (if I didn't have enough sense to stay out of heavy brush) and turned right, it would/ could unsnap and it would still stay in the sheath--Oh My :)

The knife is 12.5 inches overall length and ready for some Canadian Bear skinning:)
