Members Railrider1920 Posted July 3, 2018 Members Report Posted July 3, 2018 In a couple different threads, the writer was talking about using a background tool or maybe a beveler tool. They said that maybe it wasn't sharp enough or maybe they should have sharpened it befor use. Are these tools supposed to be "sharpened" occasionally? Quote
Moderator immiketoo Posted July 3, 2018 Moderator Report Posted July 3, 2018 Are you sure they didn't say crisp enough? A crisp impression is dependent on the tool maker. Some stamps suck, while others are much sharper. I wouldn't recommend sharpening them. Quote Learnleather.com
Members Railrider1920 Posted July 3, 2018 Author Members Report Posted July 3, 2018 Thanks Mike. They did say sharpen. Maybe they were thinking that the impression wasnt crisp enough? Could be. I know ive thought one thing and had word soup come out of my mouth.... Quote
Moderator immiketoo Posted July 11, 2018 Moderator Report Posted July 11, 2018 I know a LOT of people who do leather and none of them sharpen their stamps, ever. Link me on the video and I'll try and decipher for you. Quote Learnleather.com
