Hi, Just wondering who you all consider top line saddle tree makers now a days. Rod Nickel seems to have stopped producing and he was benchmark. So with him off the top, who’s would be considered the best?

For traditional wood & rawhide, I put Quality Mfg in Monticello, Utah at the top

I have used Lewis Saddle Tree Co. trees out of Hereford, TX for  a long time and have had really good performance from them.  Great guys to do business with as well.

I was impressed with the Laporte Poly Tuff tree I used to build my first saddle.  Pretty much indestructible.
