Members drexcess Posted August 9, 2018 Members Report Posted August 9, 2018 First post and first thing I’ve ever made from leather. Quite pleased with it. I took an excellent 2-day course here in the UK. Looking forward to getting a few tools together and attempting to copy/interpret all of the excellent designs I see out there... Quote
Members YinTx Posted August 9, 2018 Members Report Posted August 9, 2018 That is a really nice bag for a first project out of the gate. I'd say your course paid off! YinTx Quote

Members drexcess Posted August 13, 2018 Author Members Report Posted August 13, 2018 Thank you for your kind words and welcome. The 2-day course I took is this one: http://www.diamondawl.co.uk/choose-leather-course/ Quote
Members AndyNext Posted August 19, 2018 Members Report Posted August 19, 2018 I attended both the one day and then the two day courses at DiamondAwl earlier this year, making first a passport holder and then a messenger bag. Jason is a great tutor, sharing lots of practical advice for beginners. Definitely to be recommended if you are in the UK. His workshop is NE of Manchester. I've now got the leatherworking bug Quote
Members ComputerDoctor Posted August 19, 2018 Members Report Posted August 19, 2018 Very nice! Sam Quote
