Members Stetson912 Posted August 14, 2018 Members Report Posted August 14, 2018 Hey guys, just finished this up. And I'm actually pleased with it. Few firsts on this one. It's a 6 card wallet with two hidden pockets. 4/5 oz wickett Craig exterior and 2/3 oz interior all lined with some pigskin I had layin around. I used fenice edge paint which is a first, and antiqued the carving with acrylic paint(also a first). Feibings Saddle tan and resolene to finish As usual, critiques welcome. Quote
Members mick86 Posted August 14, 2018 Members Report Posted August 14, 2018 That's a good looking wallet. Only thing I would change, would be to round the corners a little. Quote
Members Stetson912 Posted August 14, 2018 Author Members Report Posted August 14, 2018 I thought about it but decided not to. I probably will on the next one. Quote
garypl Posted August 14, 2018 Report Posted August 14, 2018 Turned out real nice! I think the carved name would look better if the background was lighter in the lower RH corner. Name kind of disappears a bit into the background. Did you trim the edges after you stitched the wallet? Your stitching is nice and even and close to the edges - looks good. Gary Quote
Members Stetson912 Posted August 14, 2018 Author Members Report Posted August 14, 2018 IThanks Gary, I didn't trim the edges at all. Just a quick sand to even them up. I agree ith the name. That's the problem with daubers haha, they take more coats and end up making everything darker lol Quote

Works very well and is pretty easy to keep the needle tip down in the carving or stamp. Gary Quote
